Generating a Batch File

VBScript files can be created for a backup definition on the 'Definition Files' tab under the 'Create Backups' tab:

Right-click on the backup definition that will be used for the VBScript creation, then select 'Generate an MS-DOS Batch File...':

MS-DOS Batch File Generation Options

In the window that opens, options can be specified for the batch file. MS-DOS batch files have fewer out-of-the-box options that can be configured in the generation options than PowerShell script files and VBScript files. For richer out-of-the-box options, see the two knowledge base articles linked below:

- Generating a VBScript Source File

- Generating a PowerShell Script Source File

Output

The 'MS-DOS Batch File Generation Options' wizard only contains a single page that is used to name the batch file that will be created and specify where the batch file will be stored.
