- Ports and System Requirements
Overview
Macrium SiteBackup enables backup, restore, and monitoring of multiple networked computers running the Macrium SiteBackup Agent. These agents, installed on remote computers, communicate back to the central SiteBackup server, enabling a single point of configuration for scheduled backups, backup synchronization, restores, and rescue media creation. Reducing the management overhead when backing up and restoring large volumes of computers.
SiteBackup is powered by SiteManager Platform, providing an easy-to-use and scalable central interface to manage SiteBackup Agents. A 30-day trial of SiteBackup can be started by following the steps in this article.
Ports and System Requirements:
The SiteBackup Agent can run on any Windows operating system Windows XP Service Pack 3 or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 or above. The SiteBackup server and SiteBackup Agent use the following ports:
Purpose | Protocol/Port Number | Traffic Direction |
Agent Communication Port | 51515 (Configurable) | Incoming to server |
Web Interface Port | 2904 (Configurable) | Incoming to server |
Remote Agent Installation | 445 - SMB (File and print) | Outgoing from server |
Agent to Repository Traffic | 445 - SMB | Outgoing from agent |
Active Directory Integration | 368/636 - LDAP (Configurable) | Outgoing from server |
Where possible, we recommend ensuring that the above ports are open. However, only the 'Agent Communication Port' and 'Agent to Repository Traffic' ports are required for SiteBackup to function correctly.
