How to install Macrium Reflect X for existing v6 and v7 installations
Existing v6 and v7 Macrium Reflect installations cannot be upgraded to Macrium Reflect X from within the app, meaning the Macrium Reflect X installer will need to be run over the existing installation. If the offer does not require a license to be traded in, the existing v6 or v7 license should be removed so that it can be used on a different computer. This will ensure that the license key is no longer tied to this hardware.
To remove an existing license key, launch Macrium Reflect and select the ‘Help’ menu from the top bezel:
Next, select ‘Remove License…’. In the window that opens, ensure ‘Uninstall Reflect’ is checked then select ‘OK’:
To install Macrium Reflect X, access the Macrium Account here. Under the relevant product card, select ‘Download’, then select the relevant architecture for the computer where Reflect X will be installed:
Next, execute the installer. During the installation, when prompted, enter a Macrium Reflect X license:
License keys can be viewed on the ‘Licenses’ page of the Macrium Account.
