Macrium Reflect Licensing Policy Overview
Macrium Reflect Standalone is licensed on a per-computer basis, requiring a separate licensed copy for each computer. This product is offered in two distinct versions: Macrium Reflect Workstation, designed for client operating systems such as Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP SP3, and Macrium Reflect Server, tailored for server operating systems including Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2008 R2, and 2003 SP2.
Licenses for Macrium Reflect can only be transferred to a new computer as a replacement for the original, such as in cases of hardware failure or a planned upgrade. For details on how to migrate your license to a new computer, please refer to this article.

If an annual plan lapses, the software will continue to function in ‘restore-only’ mode. This ensures that you always have access to backups and the ability to create rescue media to recover from a disaster.
