Schedule User

Option Description
Use the Macrium Task Scheduler When selected, Macrium's own Task Scheduler will be used. This is the recommended option and resolves common issues that Windows Task Scheduler experiences with daylight savings time.
Use the Windows Task Scheduler If any issues are experienced using the Macrium Task Scheduler, the scheduler can be changed to Windows Task Scheduler instead. This can help troubleshoot scheduling issues.
Prevent the system from sleeping for the duration of scheduled VBScript, PowerShell, or batch files

This option can only be selected when Macrium Task Scheduler is being used. When enabled, the system will be prevented from entering sleep mode for the entire duration of the scheduled script. This can be useful if your script is waiting for an event, such as a network destination to become available before running a backup.

Note: sleep is always prevented for the duration of backup itself.

On startup, wait X seconds before launching scheduled tasks This option can be used to specify a wait period before attempting to launch scheduled tasks on system startup. This can be used to provide extra time for network shares and external disks to come online before a backup starts.
Use the Windows System account to run scheduled tasks By default, the inbuilt Windows SYSTEM account is used to run scheduled tasks. This can be changed to run scheduled backups as the user account specified here. This option can be useful if scheduled backups are experiencing issues accessing network shares. Any local or domain administrator account can be specified here.
