Install CBT |
If selected, the Changed Block Tracker driver will be installed. This reduces the time taken to perform incremental and differential images by monitoring changes to volumes in real time to keep a record of blocks that have changed. |
Install Macrium Image Guardian |
If selected, the Macrium Image Guardian driver and configuration application will be installed. This can be used to provide additional anti-malware and anti-ransomware protection for Macrium Reflect backup files. |
Install viBoot |
If selected, Macrium viBoot will be installed on the server, to allow virtual machines to be created from backup images directly. This requires either Microsoft Hyper-V or VirtualBox to be installed. |
Install Desktop Shortcut | If selected, a desktop shortcut will be created that can be used to launch Macrium Reflect. |
OEM License Activation
The OEM license should be entered on the 'License Key' page of the installer:
Selecting 'Next' will display an additional license activation page:
If the system where Macrium Reflect LTSC is being installed has an internet connection, the 'Launch' button can be used to open the OEM activation page with the OEM license key and activation code of the machine pre-populated. If the system does not have an internet connection, the 'Copy URL' button can be used to copy the URL for the offline activation page including the license key and activation code to the clipboard, using this URL on a system with an internet connection will open the OEM activation page with the license key and activation code pre-populated:
Alternatively, the OEM activation page can be accessed using this URL on a system with an internet connection and the license key and activation code of the offline system can be entered manually.
The next page of the wizard will prompt for an email address of the domain that the license is associated with (or additional domains on request to Macrium Software):
Additional activation fields can also be requested from Macrium for the OEM activation page to assist with internal record-keeping of the systems that licenses are associated with:
After selecting 'Complete Activation', the entered email will receive an activation email containing the activation information:
The admin email associated with the license, specified when the license is purchased, will be CC'd in the email.
The following information is included in the activation email:
Email Body | Description |
License Key | The OEM license key that was used during the license activation. |
Activation Code | The activation code associated with the machine where Macrium Reflect LTSC was installed |

Select 'Next' to proceed with the installation.
Activation Type: Reactivation
If the activation is performed again on the same machine, a 'reactivation' is performed. A reactivation will not count toward license usage.
The reactivation email contains additional information about the previous activation:
