Managing Repositories
Next to the repository name, there are several action buttons that can be clicked:
Browse
The 'Browse' button will open the repository browser, where backups in the repository can be managed:
Selecting a computer from the left-hand side of the repository browser will display the backups that are stored in the selected repository, the columns on this page can be filtered and sorted to make finding particular backups easier. The backup can then be expanded to view additional options for managing the backup:
The options available in the browser are shown below:
Option | Description |
Browse by Computer/Explore File System |
This changes how backups are viewed. 'Browse by Computer' will display a list of computers, selecting a computer will then display the backups for that computer. 'Explore File System' enables the folder structure of the repository to be browsed. |
Open Image | This button enables the file system included in the backup to be browsed for individual file and folder recovery. Read more about this here. |
Verify | Verification will be performed on the selected image; using hashes, the data contained in the image will be verified against hashes of the data read from the source disk. This ensures that the data in the image is the exact same as the data read from the source disk. Read more about verification here. |
Restore |
This enables a remote restore of the disk image to be initiated. Read more about remote restore here. Only disk images can be remote restored, file and folder backup will need to be restore manually. |
Delete | The selected backup will be deleted. If the selected backup makes up part of a backup set, a window will open to display any appended backups, these backups will also be deleted. Backup deletion is permanent. |
Close | This button closes the repository browser. |
Refresh | This button refreshes the repository browser view. |

This button will open the 'Add Repository' wizard, enabling changes to be made to the repository's configuration.

This button will remove the selected repository from SiteBackup, however, the repository and backups contained within will not be removed from disk.
