Viewing Golden Images
Golden images can be viewed and managed in the 'Golden Images' tab of Macrium SiteDeploy.
A list of all available golden images will be displayed, each golden image can be expanded to see metadata and the information that was specified during the golden image creation:
The columns on this page can be filtered and sorted to make finding a relevant golden image easier.
Managing Golden Images
Golden images can be selected using the checkbox shown next to the golden image, the information displayed for the golden image can be changed using the 'Edit' button:
In the window that opens, golden images can be renamed, have their descriptioned changed, have their meta data changed, and have their tag membership changed:
Once selected, golden images can also be permanently deleted:
Where applicable, we recommend leveraging Macrium Image Guardian (MIG) to ensure that golden images can only be deleted using the 'Golden Images' page. We also recommend leveraging user roles and permissions to limit access to the golden images within SiteDeploy.
Groups and Tags
To assist with managing large numbers of golden images, and help organize golden images in remote locations, golden images can be tagged and grouped together:
To create and manage groups and tags, select 'Configure' at the top of the left hand tags menu:
In the page that opens any existing user created groups will be displayed, to create a new group select 'New Group', and enter a name that will help identify this group in the future:
Tags can then be created within the group by select 'Add Tags' on the relevant group:
In the window that opens enter the name of the tag, then select 'Add NAME':
'Select Golden Images' can then be used to assign golden images to this tag and group:
Select 'Save' to complete the configuration.
Following this, the user created tags and groups will be visibile on the left hand menu of the 'Golden Images' page.
