Viewing Backup and Restore Logs
Anytime a backup or restore runs, a log is created; these logs can be viewed on the 'Logs' page of SiteBackup:
The 'Logs' page is made up of two main sections:
Logs Table
The logs table displays the available logs that can be viewed:
The columns in this table can be filtered and sorted to make finding a particular log easier.
Log View
Once a log has been selected, the detailed log view on the right will display additional information about the log:
The bottom of the log view will display the result of the backup:
If the backup failed an error message will be displayed to assist with troubleshooting:
Intra-Daily Backups
When scheduled backups are taken with an intra-daily schedule which has the 'Intra-daily Stealth' option set, normal logs are not created except in cases of backup error or warning. Instead, each computer has an intra-daily log for the day, with the backup times and results for that day. Each computer and backup definition pair will be in a separate daily log:
Exporting Backup Logs
Exporting Logs Table
Backup log information may be exported from the 'Logs' table in CSV format to help with analysis and to import into auding tools. Clicking the 'Download to CSV' button will download a CSV file in the browser containing the information from the log list. This data can be imported into any tool that supports CSV data, such as Excel:
Downloading Log View
Individual backup logs can either be downloaded or printed using the 'Download' and 'Print' buttons above the currently displayed log in the log view:
