Viewing the Event Log
All actions that have been taken by the SiteManager Platform, including by SiteBackup and SiteDeploy, or by users are logged in the 'Event Log'. This enables administrators to review all activity for auditing, security, and reporting purposes.
The event log can be found on the 'System' menu of the SiteManager Platform:
The event log table can be filtered and sorted to make finding specific events easier. To sort the event log, click on the relevant column heading that will be sorted (multiple clicks will cycle through ascending, descending, and unsorted), or click the dropdown menu on the right-hand side of a column heading and select the appropriate sort option.
Selecting 'Filter' will display the filter bar. Each column has different filter options depending on the content of the column:
Applied filters can be cleared using the filter clear button next to the selected filters:
Event Log Columns
The event log table has columns as follows:

Time | The date and time when the event was logged. |

The 'Type' column indicates the severity of the event. The types are:

Source | There are a number of different sources for each event. These sources show which part of the system the event originated from and filtering the source may be useful to show related events from the same area. |
Event | The event that has occurred. |
Computer | If the event is associated with a computer, the NetBIOS name of the computer will be shown here. |
User |
If the event was initiated by a user, the user's login name will be shown here. |

Exporting the Event Log
The event log can be exported as a CSV file to allow analysis and archiving of events for auditing and reporting purposes. To export the event log, select the 'Actions' dropdown menu, then select 'Download to CSV' button above the top right of the event log table.
A CSV will be downloaded via the browser which can be imported into tools that support .csv format files.
