Licensing Policy Explained
Macrium Reflect LTSC is licensed on a per-computer basis, requiring a separate licensed copy for each computer where Macrium Reflect LTSC is installed. This product is offered in two distinct versions: Macrium Reflect Workstation, designed for client operating systems such as Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP SP3, and Macrium Reflect Server, tailored for server operating systems including Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2008 R2, and 2003 SP2. Additionally, Macrium Reflect Server Plus LTSC supports the same operating systems as Macrium Reflect Server LTSC but extends the functionality of Macrium Reflect Server LTSC to also enable granular SQL and Microsoft Exchange backup and recovery.
Licenses for Macrium Reflect can only be transferred to a new computer as a replacement for the original, such as in cases of hardware failure or a planned upgrade. For details on how to migrate a Macrium Reflect LTSC license to a new computer, please refer to this article.
Support
Macrium Reflect LTSC licenses are perpetual and include a fixed feature set, ensuring complete stability over the product's supported lifecycle.
Each LTSC edition includes three years of critical security updates and bug fixes. Optional extended maintenance (up to five years) is available on application.
Macrium Reflect LTSC does not include default access to technical support, but support can be purchased per license or via custom OEM arrangements. All LTSC customers have full access to documentation, knowledge base resources, and the Macrium support forum.
If an LTSC license reaches the end of its maintenance period, the software will continue to function as normal, but will no longer receive updates or patches. We recommend upgrading to the latest LTSC edition to ensure ongoing protection and compatibility.
